Welcome to Halloluwa Navodya Maha Vidyalaya
K/Halloluwa Maha Vidyalaya now refered to as K/Halloluwa Navodya Maha Vidyalaya is situated in the village of Halloluwa in Central Province Kandy District near one of the main rivers Mahaveli. The school history begins in the year 1914 on May 14th with 37 students and with one teacher. In 1925 the school developes to a mixed school and in 1949 it becomes as an English Primary school and in 1956 it extends upto secondary Level. In 1960 the school developes as a Maha Vidyalaya with Advanced Level Arts stream. In 1968 the school divides into two as a Primary school and as a Maha Vidyalaya. Since then the two schools are being managed under two principals. In 2001 K/Halloluwa Maha Vidyalaya launches the Commerce stream.

K/Halloluwa Maha Vidyalaya then becomes one of the member of Navodya school scheme. Former Deputy Labour Minister honourable Hemachandra Sirisena, Former Foreign Minister honourable A.C.S. Hameed, Prvincial Highway Power & Energy Co-operative development Minister honourable Ediriweera Weerawardhena were the pioneer members who supported to develop this school as a Navodya School.
